A Look at the New Faces in IPL 2017
The 2017 edition of the Indian Premier League has been scheduled to start on the 5th of April, 2017. There are going to be some new faces this year in the game.
Colin de Grandhomme
Playing as an all-rounder for New Zealand, de Grandhomme has the best career strike rate among all the batsmen who have a minimum of 500 runs in T20 at 170.54. His recent form has simply been brilliant. In the Super Smash, his strike rate is a fantastic 220.63. In fact, over the last five seasons of Super Smash, he has maintained at a strike rate of more than 150.
An all-rounder from England, Stokes boasts an excellent career strike rate of 134.03 in T20. His form has become even more devastating recently. Since January 2015, he has a strike rate of 147.20. He has taken 32 wickets in T20 at 36.40.
Nabi is an all-rounder from Afghanistan whose strike rate is a marvelous 178 in the slog overs. Incredibly, he has managed to hit a four or a six every four balls. In the past 2 years, he is one of the ten players who scored over 600 runs in T20 while taking more than 60 wickets.
Another upcoming name from England, Tymal Mills is a fantastic fast bowler whose dot-ball percentage is 43 during the slog overs. He concedes a boundary only once per 8 balls. As for the Powerplay economy rate, it is a remarkable 7.61.
There are several other notable names such as Kagiso Rabada from South Africa and Mohammad Shahzad from India.
